Incantati Duo present a programme of music from the 18th to the 20th centuries on the theme of 'German composers in Italy: Italian composers in Germany'. Their programme includes music by Ariosti, Handel, Schumann and Hindemith, and features the sonata by Ermanno Wolf-Ferrari.
Rachel Stott - Viola d'Amore
Ibrahim Aziz - Viola da Gamba
Ibrahim is a regular performer at Garrick's Temple, playing both viola da gamba [bass viol] and cello. He performs with the Rose and Chelys viol consorts, and the Baroque ensembles Follia and Bloomsbury Baroque.
Rachel plays viola and viola d'amore with the Revolutionary Drawing Room, Sopriola and other chamber ensembles, and is also well known as a composer. For this concert, she will play both 6 and 7 stringed viola d'amore [an unusual form of viola with extra strings for added resonance].
