David Garrick and Huguenot music in England [London]

Bloomsbury Baroque give an overview of music by Huguenot composers working in England and France from the early seventeenth to the late eighteenth centuries, including Nicholas Lanier, de Sainte-Colombe, Prelleur, and members of the Barthelemon familly. The story of their integration into British life is reflected by David Garrick and his family, whose connections with France are illustrated with accounts and letters.

This concert forms part of the prestigious Bloomsbury Festival, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and you can buy tickets HERE.
The venue is a prestigious church in the heart of 'Huguenot country' - where many of its inhabitants in the eighteenth and nineteenth century were of Huguenot descent. It is a few minutes walk from Tottenham Court Road underground station.
