Flow My Beers
Sunday 29 November 2020
17:00 to 21:00
Named as a spoof upon John Dowland's most famour song 'Flow, my tears' [first published in 1600], this is a musical pub evening for lute music, lute appreciation and lute fanciers.
Other plucked instrumnts are welcome, as are singers and other instrumentalists who work with this style of music - or who would like to listen to it.
This event is free and open to all. Like any other pub evening, it is unpredictable and slightly anarchic - although a vague sense of order will be kept by me as the Zoom host. The usual clientelle includes professional soloists, amateur chamber musicians, singers of various sorts and guitarists - and one or two wind instruments might just make an appearance...
