'Music from the Olden Times' [Suffolk]

Sunday 05 August 2018
15:00 to 17:30

The second of this Summer's three concerts of early music at Walpole Chapel will explore the publication of Elizabethan and folk music in 1858, together with some earlier folk/art collaborations from the 17th. century. The publication, by John Oxenford, led to the teaching of music in schools and the passing of this English repertoire into the field of 'nursery rhymes'. You will probably recognise some of these songs - please join in!

Patricia Hammond - Voice

William Summers - Recorders, Flutes

Matt Redman - Guitars, other plucked instruments
