Love, Despair and Hope in Medieval England [Kingston]
Wednesday 18 January 2017
19:00 to 21:15
This concert evokes the time when the passing seasons influenced all human activity. Winter was to be endured; Spring welcomed and God's hand was visible in the fall of a leaf. Music celebrated everything and turned even bleak despair into a cry of faith and hope.
The Lovekyn Medieval Consort
Sophia Brumfitt - Mezzo soprano
William Summers - Medieval Flute
Mike Parker - Medieval Harp
This concert is the first of six taking place in the Spring of 2017, which includes a mixture of early, Classical, Romantic and Modern music. To book tickets and for further information, see www.lovekynrecitals.com Subscribing to all six concerts is cheaper than attending each individually.
