'Chamber music' - words by James Joyce, music by Anna Tam
Monday 16 June 2014
20:00 to 21:00
James Joyce had always been interested in Elizabethan music, and this is the first setting of his complete poem cycle to honour that wish. The piece will be performed in Kingston in the Autumn, along with other Elizabethan music, but this performance also marks 'Bloom's Day' in homage to Joyce's novel Ulysses in the appropriate setting of the Old Red Lion Theatre - above a pub [see http://www.oldredliontheatre.co.uk/old-red-lion.htm].
